So I had my MCE remote control completely die a few months ago or so I thought. My remote had no lights, no IR lights, nothing. After calling Microsoft and getting the run around about who actually supports the remote, I decided to just purchase another one.
So today I was broswing around and ran across a post from someone that said to take the batteries out of the remote for 30 minutes. I guess after 30 minutes without batteries that remote resets itself and starts working again when you put the batteries back in. So I figured what the heck and tried and low and behold the remote works again. So now I have two remotes for my MCE since I purchased a 2nd one.
